Why Hasselblad
As a professional photographer, I have had the opportunity to work with many different cameras from various brands. But there is one camera that has consistently stood out to me and that is the Hasselblad. It’s the camera of icons. Photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avadon, and Ansel Adams have all photographed some of the most iconic photos of all time on it. It’s a camera that made it to the moon and back, used to photograph the Apollo 11 moon landing.
I was first introduced to the camera back in college. I think it was one of my most nerve-wracking moments as I had only ever used a Nikon and Canon. I did not know the history of the camera nor had I ever heard the name Hasselblad. Now it is my camera of choice for many reasons stated below.
